South India Pracara
Hare Krsna! Dandavat Pranams! All Glories to Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Radha Vinoda Bihariji!
Under the guidance of Srila Gurupadapadma we are trying to practice and preach the message of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Bangalore and all over South India. For those who would like to stay in India, and experience the life of serving in one of Srila Gurudevas Maths, Bangalore is ideal in many ways. Due to being located in the south, the climate is not too hot or too cold, and therefore many devotees, indians and westerners find it suitable. Here devotees from all over the world unite in fulfilling the vision and mission of Srila Gurudeva and our Guru-parampara.
Our needs are to have devotees come and join us in a cooperative effort to try to fulfill Srila Gurudevas desire of establishing the message of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in South India, by practicing and preaching, and inspiring the pious people of the south to take up Bhakti, to Sri Sri Radha and Krsna.
The Math is run under the guidance of Sripad Bv Vaikhanas Maharaja, a diksa disciple of Srila Prabhupada and Sannyasa siksa disciple of Srila Gurudeva.
Devotees who are presently serving here are, Venu Gopal Prabhu (Cannada), Srinidhi Syama Prabhu (local), Vasanta Prabhu (local), Caitanya Prabhu (local), Uttama Sevaka Prabhu (Bolivia), Gokula Candra Prabhu (Brazil), Caitanya (Brazil) and myself Giridhari das (Finland).
Our deities are Sri Sri Radha Vinoda Bihariji, Gaura-Nitai, Giriraja, Salagrama, Parama Gurudeva and Srila Prabhupada.
If you come here, you will learn, 1) to become an all-rounder, 2) how to preach to the Indian Community, 3) how to cook, 4) to do book distribution, 5) to do Deity service, 6) to preach and do Nama-hatta, 7) how to humbly do bhiksa etc. and much more...
Vaisnavadasanudas,
Giridhari das

A Little History
A short personal description of how we first began preaching in Bangalore
Hare Krsna! Dandavat Pranams! All Glories to Sri Sri Guru Gauranga Sri Sri Radha-Vinodabihariji!
Our Bangalore preaching started in 2003, after Kartika when Caitanya Prabhu, our local devotee from Bangalore had a desire to preach in his home town. It happened also that Janardana Prabhu, (Now BV Vaikhanas Maharaja), Jnana das Prabhu (Bv Nemi Maharaja), and Gurottama Prabhu (also a disciple of Srila Bhaktivedanta Svami Maharaja 'Prabhupada') had been cultivating a desire to go somewhere new and start preaching like in the 'Old days', by doing book distribution, Nagar-sankirtana, college programs etc. In the 70’s Janardana Prabhu had planned a similar trip to the south but it had been cancelled at the last moment. So here was a chance to fulfill a long lasting ambition. Therefore, by Krsna’s desire Caitanya Prabhu invited them down South to Bangalore and they agreed. All of them then proposed the idea to Srila Gurudeva who replied neutrally 'Oh you can do', however there was something more to Gurudeva's response that they were to find out later.
BANGALORE TOUR REPORT
By the causeless mercy of Srila Gurudeva Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, the devotees in Bangalore, headed by Sripad B.V. Vaikhanas Maharaja, B.V. Dandi Maharaja, and B.V. Visnu-daivata Maharaja, celebrated their 6th annual Janmastami festival. This year a big pandal was erected next to our preaching center in HSR layout Bangalore.
Many devotees from Mathura-Vrndavana came to assist in the function. By their sweet bhajans and hari-katha they delighted the crowd and helped them enter into the real mood of Sri Krishna Janmastami. At midnight a grand abhisheka was performed for Sri Sri Radha-Vinodabihariji with Pancamrta and various other auspicious articles.
As the abhisheka was coming to a completion and the Deities were being bathed with the last kailash (pot) of water, a most wonderful occurrence took place. The heavens opened up and a great downpour of rain began. The rain lasted all night and it was the largest rain of the year, measuring up to almost a foot of water. Moreover, it only rained in the surrounding locality of our festival, a radius of five square km and nowhere else in Banglore. The local people were speaking about this extraordinary event for weeks on end, and were saying that this was a sign that Sri Krsna Himself was present at the festival. Even the media took note of this uncommon occurrence of rain in the midst of a season that was considered to be a drought.
